ESG

We have been united by the belief in the centrality of ethics in any economic organization since well before it was “fashionable.”

We are born sustainable

Our approach to ESG policies is cultural and substantive and has been preceded by daily practice of values embodied in our ethical code.

For us, sustainability and individual and collective responsibility towards society and the environment are not mere checkboxes or procedural grids.

No box ticking around here: we have simply codified virtuous behaviours that we expect from all members of the firm to ensure that we do our part in respecting the environment, contributing to improving society and the lives of the most vulnerable, and ensuring the highest integrity and reliability in providing professional services.

In the foreground, in the individual professional stories even before Leexè, there is a commitment to activities and support for entities of significant social impact, now brought together within the Leexè More project.

Environment

  1. Waste sorting and disposal of electronic waste
Directive 2008/98/EC established the fundamental principle: “polluter pays” and holds us accountable as professionals and citizens with respect to both reducing waste production and the proper disposal of what we inevitably produce. All professionals behave actively and responsibly in reducing waste, in particular by reducing the use of paper and stationery materials and eliminating the purchase of plastic. The firm adopts a system of separate collection of paper, plastic, glass, organic waste, and non-recyclable waste, as well as having a collection point for RAEE waste, and our spaces are designed to ensure compliance.
  1. Digital tools and paper consumption
We have committed to reducing paper consumption, primarily by progressively reducing internal printing. This has been made possible by digitizing processes for signing, reviewing, and sharing documents, both within and outside the professional structure.
  1. Plastic-free environment
We do not purchase plastic consumption materials, nor do we use disposable containers for food and drinks consumed in the office. We contain the use of plastic or unsustainable materials as much as possible whenever the market offers an acceptable alternative.
  1. Sustainable mobility and reducing CO2 emissions
Remote working is practiced informally and freely, reducing the environmental impact of daily travel. We encourage the use of public transport or zero-emission means of transport (muscular or electric) when traveling to clients.

Social responsibility

  1. Ethical code

Our values, as citizens, individual professionals, and economic organization, are incorporated into the Ethical Code, which we all recognize and ask our customers and suppliers to share and respect.

The Leexè Ethical Code is reviewed annually to gather proposals for updates and integration from both within the firm and outside at the esg@leexe.it address or informally.

  1. Culture and practice of inclusion

At least annually, we train and update ourselves on sustainability and social inclusion issues, on occasions dedicated to environmental or inclusion strategies for members of the firm with special needs.

  1. Work environment and internal reporting

We encourage co-responsibility and participation in maintaining a professional, healthy, collaborative, and productive environment, according to principles of physical and mental well-being of professionals and serene and transparent relationships with customers.

All members of the firm are encouraged to report areas for improvement in the organization of the professional firm through dedicated channels and informally at any time.

  1. High-impact nonprofit activities

Leexè acts both directly and through the individual commitment of some partners to support various organizations with high social impact, in initiatives aimed at fighting all forms of discrimination, eliminating all types of economic, physical, and cultural barriers to the full realization of the individual.

Organization and Management

  1. Document and information security and sharing with clients

IWe exclusively use the studio’s computer platform for storing client information, including correspondence, documents, work papers, and for securely sharing them with clients during the performance of the assignment.

  1. Transparency towards clients and prevention of conflicts of interest

Before taking on any assignment, we carry out a precise and documented evaluation of possible conflicts of interest; this practice constitutes a specific contractual commitment towards all clients. The activities, time spent, the professional involved, and any other relevant information related to each aspect of the mandate are periodically reported based on the agreed terms, according to the volumes and characteristics of each assignment.

  1. Anti-money laundering

The studio adopts the “Technical Rules under Article 11, paragraph 2 of Legislative Decree 90/2017” regarding the procedures and methodology for analyzing and assessing the risk of money laundering and terrorist financing, internal controls, adequate verification, even simplified, of clients, and preservation.

  1. Governance

The supervision of the implementation of procedures is entrusted each year to at least two partners and an associate, who receive internal and external reports regarding the implementation of policies and monitor their improvement profiles.
